The Technology Agency (TA CR) prepares the 2nd call of the DELTA 2 Program for applied research, experimental development and innovation, which launch is currently scheduled for 13 May 2020. The TA CR foresees to support international cooperation in applied research between Czech enterprises and research organisations and several international partners, including organizations from Israel, Brazil or Canada.
The funding program focuses on bilateral international cooperation in applied research, experimental development and innovation of Czech companies and research organizations and their foreign partners. Cooperation is mainly aimed at countries outside the European Research Area (ERA). The allocation for the DELTA 2 program from the state budget of the Czech Republic is CZK 1.225 billion.
The DELTA 2 funding program aims to support the acquisition of knowledge and skills leading to new products, processes and services or their substantial improvement. Therefore its support is aimed at projects focused on specific outputs in applied research, which will be put into practice after their completion. The funding program focuses on supporting cooperation in applied research (including industrial research, experimental development or a combination of the two) using joint projects of Czech enterprises and research organisations supported by TA CR and foreign participants, with the expected support of foreign technology and innovation agencies or other similar institutions.
